The U.S. EPA has opened a public comment period on a proposed rule that aims to allow retailers the opportunity to recover sales opportunities lost to the COVID-19 pandemic for wood heating appliances that meet Step 1 requirements under the 2015 new source performance standards (NSPS) for new residential wood heaters, hydronic heaters and forced air furnaces.
